Head of Finance – Financial Services

Our client is the Irish division of a multinational financial services firm. They are seeking a Head of Finance to take on a senior leadership role within the business. This is a PCF 11 role that will hold responsibility for all aspects of financial management operations. The role is based in South County Dublin and is offered on a hybrid basis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of finance related projects

• Build effective working relationships across the commercial and finance teams

• Assist in the processes of financial budgets and forecasts

• Oversee the preparation of financial reporting

• Work with the executive team on long-term financial and business planning

• Oversee departments involved in the purchase, pricing, investments, debt management and accounts payable and receivable

• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting team

• Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract compliance and reporting

• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement

• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives

• Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for the senior leadership team and rest of company

Requirements:

• Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent

• Minimum 8 years experience within financial services

• Experience working in listed international groups – multi-entity, multi-country, multi-currency highly regarded

• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

• Strong leadership and communication skills
