Job Description

An established business in the Irish commercial and development space is looking to appoint a Head of FP&A to lead forward-looking finance and performance activity across its group operations. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced, results-driven environment where financial insight is central to business strategy.

About the Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders across commercial and operational functions, the successful candidate will shape and manage budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning. You’ll oversee a small, high-impact team and be responsible for building financial models, producing clear reporting outputs and ensuring a robust planning framework is in place.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the financial planning cycle across annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and multi-year outlooks.

  • Provide analysis and commercial insights to guide operational decision-making.

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models that support business case development.

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders on key financial and performance issues.

  • Take the lead on scenario planning, cost analysis and performance benchmarking.

  • Support board-level reporting and group-level presentations.

  • Embed strong governance, financial controls and reporting accuracy across the function.

  • Contribute to developing financial literacy across the wider business.

  • Provide mentorship and leadership to a small FP&A team.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), ideally with a background in audit or corporate finance.

  • Strong FP&A or commercial finance experience in a mid-to-large organisation.

  • Able to work with complexity, ambiguity and evolving priorities.

  • Experience in sectors such as infrastructure, development, construction or real assets is beneficial but not essential.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills are essential; experience with BI tools is a plus.

  • Comfortable working at pace and engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

What’s on Offer

  • Attractive salary and performance-based bonus

  • Private health cover for employee and dependents

  • Pension scheme with strong employer contributions

  • Structured professional development support

  • Wellbeing and family-focused benefits

  • Opportunities to make a tangible impact in a growing organisation
