Head of Compliance & Risk

I am delighted to partner exclusively with a well-established Irish regulated financial services firm to appoint a Head of Compliance and Risk.

This is a senior leadership role within a consumer-focused lending environment, requiring deep regulatory expertise, strong Central Bank engagement experience and proven executive presence.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, you will:

• Hold, or be eligible for, PCF-12 and PCF-14

• Lead and the Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management frameworks

• Oversee Consumer Protection Code, CCMA, conduct risk and regulatory obligations

• Own regulatory engagement and relationship management with the Central Bank of Ireland

• Deliver clear, strategic Board and Risk Committee reporting

• Provide effective second line oversight across credit, operational, outsourcing and regulatory risk

• Drive strong risk culture and governance standards across the organisation

Ideal Profile:

I am particularly interested in senior professionals with:

• Existing or prior PCF approval

• Experience in regulated lending, credit servicing, retail banking, mortgage or consumer finance sectors

• Demonstrable CBI supervisory interaction (PRISM, inspections, thematic reviews)

• Strong Consumer Protection Code and CCMA oversight experience

• Proven ability to operate at Executive and Board level

• Experience leading established Compliance and / or Risk teams

This role will suit an experienced Head of Compliance or CRO seeking a broader Director mandate or an existing Director looking for a high-impact leadership role within a stable, well-capitalised firm.
